Michael LeBlanc

Michael was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Growing up in the Bay Area Michael was surrounded by music at an early age and grew up listening to the sounds of Heat Wave, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5 just to name a few. Listening to such great talent inspired Michael and some of his friends to start harmonizing, and at the age of twelve he formed his first group “Elements of Soul”. Elements of Soul went on to perform at several local venues, but they never forgot their first gig at Woodrow Wilson high school in San Francisco.

Following Elements of Soul Michael helped joined the group “Nonstop LTD”. Nonstop LTD performed in many clubs throughout Los Angeles and helped to open the door for Michael to begin working with great artists such as Phyllis Hyman, the O’Jays, the Gap Band and as Howard Hewett’s back ground vocalist. Although listening to his outstanding vocal abilities is may come as a surprise that Michael’s first musical love is the drums. After learning to play drums at 14 Michael vacillated between singing lead vocals and playing the drums, however, it was his unparalleled drum ability that landed him the job as the drum tech for the all mighty Whispers.

Having the opportunity to play with such great artists throughout the years not only influenced Michael but those artists also inspire him and his music to this day.

In 2013 Michael teamed up with his longtime friend from the Bay Area, Larry White, and became one of the newest members of the always exciting and mesmerizing In-A-Fect.
